Okapi

Who it's for

Built for the people who keep a shipment moving.

Exporters, freight forwarders and trade finance teams work on the same transaction from different seats. Okapi is built to give each of them the same live record.

Exporters

You carry the letter-of-credit risk.

You carry the letter-of-credit risk, and every change lands on your desk.

Okapi is built to

  • Keep one live record per shipment, with every value linked to the line it came from.
  • Track the LC's deadlines, and the other rules a shipment answers to, against live vessel data.
  • Draft your invoice, packing list and shipping instructions from verified values, and rank the fixes when something breaks.

What it's built to change: Fewer amendments and discrepancies, and far less chasing.

Freight forwarders

Corrections arrive late.

Corrections arrive late, and you rework instructions and drafts.

Okapi is built to

  • Align shipping instructions with the LC's terms before they reach the carrier.
  • Turn draft B/L issues into one consolidated correction request before the cut-off.
  • Flag when a slipped sailing threatens a client's LC.

What it's built to change: Fewer correction loops and steadier shippers.

Trade finance teams

Discrepancies cost you payment.

Discrepant presentations delay payment and add fees.

Okapi is built to

  • Check the presentation set against the LC's document list before it goes to the bank.
  • Track every amendment from request to acceptance.
  • Show each discrepancy risk with its source line.

What it's built to change: Cleaner first presentations and faster payment.

  2. Carrier update · 3 Dec, 9:04 amPredicted on board 17–21 Dec 2026. The vessel runs late upstream.
  3. RCAC · issued 2 Nov 202645-day window ending about 17 Dec 2026. The window cannot be extended.

Why it matters

The LC allows shipment up to 15 Dec 2026. The carrier now predicts the cargo on board 17–21 Dec 2026, after that date. Goods shipped late do not match the LC terms, and the issuing bank can refuse the documents.

The RCAC window ends about 17 Dec 2026 and cannot be extended.

What it affects

  • LC fields 44C (latest shipment) and 31D (expiry, 5 Jan 2027)
  • The RCAC window: 45 days from 2 Nov 2026
  • The booking, currently departing 12 Dec 2026
  • Document presentation, due within 21 days of shipment
  • Payment of USD 122,500 under the LC
